Morocco's national football team coach, Walid Regragui, confirmed yesterday that captain Ashraf Hakimi will play in today's match against Zambia in the third (final) round of Group A of the Africa Cup of Nations finals, being held in Morocco. Regragui said at a press conference: «It is certain that he will play, but will he be in the starting lineup? We will decide that tomorrow (today)». He added: «Everyone is talking about Hakimi's absence from the team despite his recovery. Is there a coach in the world who can do without his team's best player, Africa's best player? He is the best player and captain of the team. We do not want to lose his contribution because we need him for the entire tournament, not just for one match».
