The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) stated that it met with 30 players' football associations from around the world at a summit in Morocco to discuss how to help players cope with the exhausting match schedule. The FIFA statement said the meeting aimed to find solutions to reduce the burden on players. Representatives from player associations from various countries were present, but the FIFPro World Players' Union was not among them. FIFA emphasized the importance of dialogue with players to protect their interests.
