Marrakech will become an honorable guest at the 43rd International Book Fair, which will take place from November 6 to 17 in Expo Sharjah. A wide cultural program will be presented, including 107 events with the participation of 100 publishers and creative personalities. Guests will be able to familiarize themselves with the Moroccan cultural heritage through various events, participate in discussions, theatrical performances, and get acquainted with the rich book production of 22 Moroccan publishers.
Among the invited participants of the program are prominent figures in Marrakech, such as the director-general of the Korolev Archive, Dr. Ahmed Shoki Benbini, historian and director of the Marrakech Archive Fund, Dr. Jamal Beyda, dean of the Korolev Institute of Amazigh Studies, Dr. Ahmed Bukos, researcher Idris El-Izami, ex-minister and sociologist Aisha Belarbi, as well as other scholars and writers.
The program includes various themes reflecting the history, culture, and future of Marrakech, such as "Marrakechi Figures in History, Culture, and Heritage," "Marrakech Around the World and the Promotion of Marrakech Literature Throughout Languages and Cultures," as well as master classes, theatrical productions, and films that showcase the creative potential of Marrakech.
Special attention is given to the children's program, which includes master classes and spectacles, telling about Marrakech heritage for young readers. Guests of the exhibition will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Marrakech, getting to know its culture and history through various artistic forms and events.
