In some areas of the Maghreb region, an abnormal amount of precipitation has occurred, causing flooding and damage. Subsequently, strong winds and hail followed, leaving behind destruction and debris.
Particularly affected were some regions of Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco, where the floods caused severe damage to populated areas and infrastructure. Unprecedented outbreaks also affected Spain, particularly Catalonia and the Balearic Islands.
