Markkoko announced the purchase of 168 trains, including 18 high-speed ones, for a total sum of 2.8 billion euros.

These trains will be produced by French manufacturers Alstom and Bombardier and delivered to the country over the next five years. Among the trains, there will also be four additional high-speed trains to expand the existing fleet.

"This deal provides the opportunity to introduce modern rail transport and launch local production in Markkoko," said Minister of Transport Vakhid Ouzin.
