The Mena Golf Tour, a leading Emirati initiative and the only one in the region that awards world ranking points to golfers, continues to achieve success in the current season following the conclusion of the series of tournaments in Morocco. These events were part of the tour's schedule, which kicked off this year in Portugal, then moved to Egypt and Morocco.
The tour's events are set to continue with the "Qatar Classic" tournament at the Doha Golf Club from March 23 to 25, after which the season will conclude with the tournament in Al Ain at the Al Ain Equestrian, Racing & Golf Club from March 30 to April 1.
The season champion's title is expected to be decided at the final tournament in Al Ain by the end of this month. The tour returns to the UAE, where its headquarters are located, and where it began in 2011.
This season, the tour offers a prize fund of $100,000 for each tournament, in addition to awarding world ranking points, which provides participating players with a clear pathway to qualify for top international golf tours.
Benoit received the tournament's first-place prize of $18,000 after topping the overall leaderboard.
