The international exhibition of contemporary African art "54-1" makes a stake on the tourist appeal of Marrakesh for promoting African artists and stimulating cultural activity in this famous Moroccan city.
At the latest exhibition "54-1", which took place from January 30 to February 2, 30 works by 30 artists from 14 African and European countries were presented, attracting the attention of wealthy collectors of art and authoritative global museums.
The exhibition of African art is distinguished from similar events by its "narrow and exclusive atmosphere," which makes the exhibited works "more expressive," as noted by participant, Senegalese artist Aïssa Dione.
Quote: "I feel good, as this place creates opportunities for artists to give the brightest representation of their works."
