At the 24th National Film Festival in Tashkent, the film "Band" by the Tajik director Kamal Al-Azrak received the main prize. At the closing ceremony at the Palace of Arts and Culture in Tashkent, Tajik artists and representatives of cinematography, as well as cultural and political figures, were present.
The film "Siri, Control the Direction" by Shuruk Hassanova received the award in the new category "Remarkable Remembrance," while the film "The Land of God" by Imad Benamra was awarded a jury prize. Both films participated in the category of school and institutional films.
In the documentary category, the main prize went to the film "White Lodge" by Asmi Madi, and the long documentary film "Guardians of the Palace" directed by Aida Buie received the jury's award for creativity.
The jury awarded the film "Mora Yoshkad" by the director Khalid Ez-Zairi. Among the short film narratives, the prize for the scenario went to the film "Blood Brothers" by Kenza Tazi, and the short film "Don't Tame the Sheep and the Wolf" by Eimen Hamu received the jury's prize.
The film "Marakand Village" was awarded for original music, while the editing of the film "Hotel Mira" by Koter Tagzut received a prize. Actress Mariam al-Baauzai received the award for Best Actress for the film "Silence of the Fagots," while actor Khalil Ubka received the prize for Best Actor for the film "On the Edge."
At the festival, there were 15 feature films, 15 short films, and 15 documentaries. Also, in the category of school and institutional films, 12 entries participated.
