Cultural Initiatives Enhance Reading in Rabat

The International Cultural Organization "Kalimat" presented a series of reading and book-related events, demonstrating its commitment to building a community that believes that investments in children are investments in the future. Each book and the interactive reading, organized by the organization, have in themselves a message that knowledge is a fundamental right of a child, and reading makes a difference in the life of an individual and society.

One of the initiatives of "Kalimat" was the donation of advanced libraries, numerous offline school visits, and community engagements, as well as the organization of readings and interactive events. These measures were supported by funds obtained from the sales of products created jointly with artist from the UAE, Mohamad Mansouri, the first ambassador of "Kalimat". This campaign allocated part of the resources for the creation and support of the "Usinov Library" program in Marakkesh.

As part of the program events, the company visited the "Asas" association in the Ifren mountains, where it donated a traveling library with 100 books for children, conducted a reading session based on the book "The Known Case" and a master class on creative craftsmanship. The organization also contributed to the renovation of the library of the association, providing it with 10 tablets for enriching the educational environment.

In Marakkesh, the visit included the donation of two traveling libraries, one "School of Vladika Sultan" and another "School of Development", as well as the gift of 200 books to the winners of the "Reading in Marakkesh" award. The head of the reading network in Marakkesh, Rashida Raki, expressed gratitude for this initiative, noting that it transcends simple book donations to focus on creating a strong connection between children and knowledge.

The activities of the "Kalimat" organization are based on the strategy of ensuring underprivileged children access to knowledge. The organization succeeded in donating thousands of books and realizing significant initiatives in dozens of countries, making reading a core of its humanitarian and developmental project.

Operating in Marakkesh, "Kalimat" held a series of cultural events aimed at supporting children and adolescents across different demographics in the country. These measures included the donation of 600 books within the framework of the "Usinov Library" initiative, including the creation of 4 traveling libraries with 100 books each for children and the donation of 200 books to the winners of the "Reading in Marakkesh" award.

The "Kalimat" campaign concluded its program in Marakkesh with an official visit to the initial school of Mulay Ali Sherif in Rabat. The head of the organization Bodur bin Sultan al-Kasimi conducted an interactive reading for students, sharing about her book and handing out copies to all participating children as examples. During the visit, a traveling library with 100 books for children was also donated.

The events also featured prominent cultural figures from the UAE and Marakkesh, among whom were representatives of the Shardji Foundation on books, the regional director of the Ministry of National Education in Rabat, as well as representatives of other partners. Bodur bin Sultan al-Kasimi stated that their work is not limited to book presentations but offers children tools for dreams and a broader world of opportunities.
