The Eastern Publishing Authority concluded a workshop for the artistic production of the project "Andalus: Imagining a Future Egyptian", within the framework of its preparations for its program as a guest of honor at the International Book and Publishing Fair in Rabat in 2025. The workshop was held at the authority's headquarters in Zahia, where this project comes in the context of the authority's efforts to capitalize on cultural and historical achievements and to re-evaluate them with a contemporary artistic vision.

The initiative aims to re-imagine Andalusian heritage through art, where a group of artists and graphic designers and visual artists from the Emirates and Morocco produced artistic works inspired by Andalusian civilization. The works combine historical origins with modern artistic techniques, whether through digital or traditional drawing or by using advanced artistic techniques.

The workshop outcomes will result in the release of an artistic book documenting the produced works, alongside organizing a special art exhibition as part of the Eastern Emirate's pavilion at the Book and Publishing Fair in Rabat 2025. The exhibition is sponsored by the cultural sector at the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Moroccan Communication in the OLM Souissi space in Rabat during the period from April 17 to 27 next.

Ahmed Ben Rkadh Al-Amrani, the President of the Executive Board of the Eastern Publishing Authority, said: "This project represents an extension of the Eastern vision in re-reading the cultural and civilizational history of the Arab world through contemporary creative visions. The role of the arts is not limited to documenting heritage, but also extends to being a bridge for interaction between cultures, and a window for rediscovering the beauties that shaped our Arab civilization."
